Donations

In order to better direct your generous donations, two funds have been established to support the award. The Dave Greber Freelance Writers Award Fund provides the donor with the opportunity to make a long-term investment in the fund. The Dave Greber Freelance Writers Award Sponsorship Fund conversely, was established solely for the purpose of directing all the funds to the award in one fiscal year.

Dave Greber Freelance Writers Award Fund

Donations made to the Dave Greber Freelance Writers Award Fund will directly enable us to increase the Award in future years and to expand support into additional categories of eligibility. The contributions to this Fund are set-aside in perpetuity to ensure on-going resources and are tax deductible. Legacy gifts such as insurance, publicly traded securities, bequests and cash contributions are held on behalf of the Fund by the Jewish Community Foundation of Calgary. Income from the endowment helps to support the efforts and activities of the Dave Greber Freelance Writers' Award Fund to better serve the community. Your donation, your community, your award.

Dave Greber Freelance Writers Sponsorship Fund

The second fund is the Dave Greber Freelance Writers Award Sponsorhip Fund. Donations made to this fund will ensure that all dollars so donated will be used to directly support the cash award or specific costs attached to marketing and/or fund raising. Donor recognition is possible and the donor can specify how the money is to be spent.

Donations to either fund will qualify for a charitable donation income tax receipt.

If you are making a donation by credit card call the Administrative Assistant at the Jewish Community Foundation of Calgary at (403) 640-2273 or toll free at (877) 271 3283 and designate as clearly as possible the specific fund, to which you wish to make your donation.
